Dear trader,
I wanted to quit teaching structure altogether.
Not "take a break." Quit. Burn the whiteboard. Move to a cabin. Never say the words "higher high" again as long as I live.
I'd just spent three hours redrawing the SAME swing high for the fourth time that morning.
Third coffee. Still shaking. Still wrong.
Ohmygawd.
And here's the bit that actually made me want to scream into a pillow —
Everyone I taught understood the rules perfectly.
Ask them on a whiteboard? Flawless. Point at a static chart, name every high, every low, every shift? Nailed it every time.
Put the same person in front of a live, moving chart?
Complete and utter chaos.
Structure looked different every session.
Not because they forgot anything — because "apply the rules manually" secretly means "apply the rules depending on your mood, your sleep, and how many almond croissants you had that morning."
That's not a framework.
That's a horoscope with candlesticks.
I thought it was my teaching.
So I taught harder. More webinars. More screen-shares.
More "no — NO — THAT'S not the high, THIS is the high" until my own voice started haunting me in the shower.
Didn't matter.
Two traders. Same rulebook. Memorised word for word like a hostage reciting terms and conditions.
Drew two completely different charts of the exact same candles.
I was basically running the world's most expensive interpretive dance class.
